Job Overview A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate to join its Boston, MA office. This role involves working on innovative patent prosecution and litigation matters within a dynamic team of legal professionals. Duties Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO. Develop and manage strategic IP portfolios for clients. Provide mentorship and training to junior associates. Conduct pre‑litigation diligence. Draft pleadings, conduct legal research, and prepare expert witnesses. Engage in post‑grant proceedings, such as inter partes reviews and post‑grant reviews. Participate in taking and defending depositions. Requirements 2‑4 years of post‑JD experience in patent prosecution and IP litigation. Admission to practice before the USPTO. Licensed to practice law and in good standing in MA, NY, CA, or DC. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering required; preference for a graduate degree or industry experience in these disciplines. Certifications Admission to practice before the USPTO. Skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
