Foundation Development Officer

Summary:

The Foundation Development Officer supports special programs and fundraising efforts for Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center, Rosen Parramore PS8 Foundation, and Rosen Tangelo Park Preschool Foundation. This includes donor relations, general and capital campaigns, special events, and all activities required to seek and maintain grants from foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Responsibilities:

• Seek and acquire new funding opportunities for Rosen's 501c3 organizations to include Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center, Rosen Parramore PS8 Foundation, and Tangelo Park Preschool Foundation.
• Drive development by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting high-level corporate sponsors and individual donors while maintaining an ongoing pipeline of potential donors.
• Research and evaluate grant opportunities and make recommendations for pursuit of such grants.
• Develop programs that support the mission of the foundations while aligning funding to support such programs in the long term.
• Collaborate with relevant staff to gather pertinent program information and goals for grant submissions.
• Disseminate details for awarded grants and ensure methods are in place for tracking and reporting on target outcomes.
• Partner with Communications and Community Relations teams on fundraising campaign and donor relations messaging.
• Develop strategies to encourage and increase in-kind donations of materials and services.
• Serve as a resource for scholarship funding research for the Rosen scholarship program.
• Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
• Proven fund development experience and track record of successful grant attainment for nonprofit organizations.
• Able to build effective relationships with donors, corporate contacts, prospects and board members.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team with senior leadership and staff.
• Capable of managing constantly changing work priorities in a deadline-oriented, time-sensitive environment.
• Ability to regularly use independent judgment, discretion and analytical skills.
• Must possess proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, document processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and constituent relationship management systems.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, public relations or related field required.
