Registered Nurse Preop/Pacu The Registered Nurse Preop/Pacu provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating the patient’s condition and ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy. The role may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques, and provides comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and family preparation for discharge. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Active RN license in the state BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit Strong communication skills, verbal and written Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
