This includes working to ensure construction is progressing as scheduled and contract specifications are adhered to.As a Project Engineer at Tutor Perini Building Corp., reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:Inspect construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveriesInterpret designs and drawings for crafts installing materialsResearch and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errorsPrepare field design change requisitions and "as built" drawingsPrepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculationsVerify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specificationsAttend meetings with other contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction effortsDevelop checklists for project closeout documentation in conjunction with specificationsCoordinate quality control activities with the construction scheduleAssist Contracts Manager with scope gapsResearch and propose solutions to quality control issuesCreate, process, and propose solutions and administers RFI'sSet-up job specific concrete log, as well as reviews and maintains concrete logCoordinate MEP start-up and commission meetings and overhead and underground coordinationCreate scheduling construction sequence, logistics and drawingsUnderstand and comply with company's safety program and remedial safety proceduresCoordinate changes in mock-ups and/or shop drawings and specificationsOversee Quantity Take-off's as project requiresOversee project related pricing/budgetsDevelops procurement log and tracks progress to ensure compliance with project scheduleRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 1 or more years of construction experienceProficient with MSOffice Suite and Prolog or similar softwareExperience in blueprint reading, construction scheduling and CADPrevious experience as a field engineer or project engineer on commercial construction projects is preferredOur MissionWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.Our VisionWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
