Tailor / Seamstress – Bridal & Alterations Specialist

Sammy Sam Tailor is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor / Seamstress to join our growing team. We specialize in custom tailoring, wedding gowns, formalwear, alterations, and luxury garment finishing. We are seeking someone passionate about craftsmanship, precision, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform clothing alterations and repairs
• Hem dresses, pants, skirts, and formalwear
• Alter bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and suits
• Take customer measurements and conduct fittings
• Work with delicate fabrics including lace, satin, silk, chiffon, and beading
• Operate industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing tools
• Ensure high-quality finishing and attention to detail
• Meet deadlines while maintaining workmanship standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tailoring or sewing experience preferred
• Experience with bridal or formalwear alterations is a plus
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong understanding of garment construction and fitting
• Experience using industrial sewing machines
• Reliable, professional, and customer-friendly attitude
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
