Job Title: Shift Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

Location: Clarkton, NC 28433
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Varies (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift)

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on  Shift Supervisor to lead daily production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, achieving production goals, and fostering a positive, productive work environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support production employees during assigned shifts.
• Ensure production schedules and daily output goals are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, including food safety, GMP, HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
• Monitor production operations and address issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Conduct shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety updates, and operational priorities.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Complete production reports, shift documentation, and other operational records accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Address employee concerns and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas when required.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the workday.
