Job Description The Medical Laboratory Technician - Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, testing, and reporting of test results while adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies. This role is critical in providing quality patient care within a hospital laboratory environment, covering sub-specialties such as chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and testing laboratory specimens.
- Reporting test results in compliance with standard procedures.
- Ensuring quality control and patient care standards are maintained.
- Medical Laboratory Technician: Minimum of six (6) months of clinical laboratory experience in core areas including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist: Minimum of one (1) year of clinical laboratory experience with rotations in blood bank, microbiology, chemistry, and hematology.
- Medical Laboratory Technician Certification required within 18 months of hire.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification required within 18 months of hire.
