Position: Forklift Operator Work Location: Statesville, NC 28625 Pay Rate: $14.50/hr Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am PPE: Safety glasses, Hearing protection, Closed-toe shoes Job Description: Operate and coordinate movement of logs between storage and peeler operations using a forklift. Handle logs carefully to avoid damage during lifting, transport, and storage. Maintain proper staging and spacing of logs in storage areas. Inform Mold Operator about any forklift breakdowns or operational issues. Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner. Log Handling Procedures: Open clamps fully when picking up logs. Lift logs 4 - 6 inches off the ground with mast tilted back for stability. Move away from metal stop before rotating logs. Transport logs safely to staging area after turning. Do not allow stored logs to touch each other. Always drive in reverse on ramps while carrying logs. Do not use clamps to break apart logs or push materials. Avoid dragging clamps on the floor. Qualifications: Must be forklift certified. #J-18808-Ljbffr
