Weatherization Assistant

Temporary position with ability to become a permanent position Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time temporary to permanent Weatherization Assistant for our Hamden location. Pay range is $20.84-$26.11 per hour, 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable, and trustworthy. Responsible for all Weatherization clerical duties such as, Receive Weatherization applications, assuring they are complete and accurate and present applications to Weatherization Director for action; Aid clients with applications and other forms; Handle correspondence related to Weatherization applications and inquiries; Perform telephone work regarding Weatherization inquiries, handle routine calls related to surveys, work site, messages; Type budgets, reports, memos, general correspondence; Maintain files according to established procedure; Maintain master log of Weatherization work; Report Weatherization unit payroll information for all workers; Assist Weatherization Director with press releases, correspondence, and agency memos; Energy Technician II and inventory control clerk with clerical responsibilities; Maintain computer data base of the status of all applications, completions, etc.; Maintain records regarding work time and expenses associated with Weatherization and “outside construction” activities; Reproduce various forms as required using copier and duplicator machines; Perform similar or associated duties as required or directed. Skills required: Proven working experience in an office setting Knowledge of construction Ability to work independently. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and 1-year of related experience.
