Accounts Payable Clerk LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for a growing client just north of Cincinnati. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of relevant experience and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $22/hr.

Job Duties:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices (typically 150+ per week) with accuracy and attention to detail
• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and missing documentation
• Maintain organized records of invoices, approvals, and payment support
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment inquiries and outstanding items
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments while ensuring deadlines are met
• Reconcile vendor statements and proactively identify past-due or unmatched items
• Assist with month-end close by ensuring all invoices are recorded and accruals are accurate
• Support 1099 preparation, audit requests, and reporting as needed
• Monitor and improve accounts payable processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain vendor files, including setup of new vendors and verification of required documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely receipt approvals and accurate financial reporting

Requirements:

• 1+ years of high volume accounts payable experience
• Strong understanding of invoice processing and matching procedures
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to resolve issues independently
