Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Surgical Technologist to join a high-volume Level I Trauma Center. Responsible for supporting a wide range of complex surgical procedures in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for procedures.
Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow throughout cases.
Follow safety protocols, including maintaining sterile techniques and managing sharps safely.
Complete documentation accurately in electronic medical records systems.
Adhere to hospital policies regarding patient safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

Current NBSTSA certification required; NCCT is not accepted.
Minimum of 2 years of OR tech experience, strongly preferred in neuro, ENT, or robotics cases.
BLS certification required; radiation badge must be provided by agency.
Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room protocol.
Licensed or pending SC RN license is preferred; must provide proof of license application.
