Civil Engineer – Land Development

A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Civil Engineer – Land Development to oversee a small team of engineers and designers while managing land development projects from planning through completion. This role combines technical leadership, project management, staff development, and client coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 2–6 engineering professionals.
• Coordinate project priorities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Review engineering plans, calculations, reports, and cost estimates to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Manage land development projects and supervise project teams to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, consultants, and contractors.
• Participate in project planning, permitting, and approval processes.
• Monitor team performance, utilization, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development.
• Strong technical expertise in site design, utilities, drainage, grading, and related civil engineering disciplines.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and associated design software.
• Knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and permitting processes is preferred.
