Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Wichita, KS. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support patients with injuries, illness, or disability in regaining or improving daily living skills while working in a large acute care hospital setting.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active KS Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 6 months acute care hospital OT experience required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience preferred.
• Comprehensive stroke experience preferred.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Previous experience working with general acute care DME and high-volume consult loads preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0800-1600.
• Typical patient assignment: approximately 8-10 patients per OTR per day with an OT daily consult census near 250.
• Team model: approximate 2:1 OTR to COTA staffing ratio; therapy team headcount approximately 30 with multiple FTEs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams expected.
