Fixed Assets Accountant

Azenta seeks a Fixed Assets Accountant to manage fixed asset subledger, capital expenditures, and depreciation while supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. The role requires strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and collaboration across finance and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed asset subledger for additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation
- Review capital expenditure activity and documentation for proper classification and capitalization
- Prepare and post journal entries for fixed assets, depreciation, and other assigned close areas
- Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset and balance sheet accounts
- Support physical asset inventories, audits, and financial close activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years general accounting experience including fixed asset accounting
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and general ledger accounting expertise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/fixed asset systems
- Ability to analyze data, investigate variances, and resolve issues independently
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices
- Strong organizational skills managing multiple close deadlines
Compensation: $66,000–$83,000 base
