Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing. This position is focused on providing high-quality patient care while working collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Conduct assessments, develop nursing care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medication management, and post-discharge care.
• Participate in shift handovers to communicate critical information effectively.

Shift Details

• Night shifts: 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience is required.
• Must possess a current and valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Willingness to obtain the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to the start date.
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the nursing specialty is required for submission.

Assessment Requirements

• Completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable performance required for both.
