Position Details Job Code: JC-523603 Position #: 280-307-5734-024 Title: OEWS Analysis Manager Classification: RESEARCH DATA SUPERVISOR I Salary: $7,530.00 – $9,355.00 (minimum range for new candidates) Number of Positions: 1 Location: Sacramento County, CA (9323 Tech Center Drive, Suite 1000, Sacramento, CA 95826) Work Type: Hybrid (Telework) Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Work Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday Job Description As a member of the Occupational Survey Group in the Labor Market Information Division, under the direction of the Research Data Supervisor II, the Research Data Supervisor I leads the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) Unit. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing the biannual OEWS Program, including sample design verification, address refinement, survey mailing, data collection and entry, quality assurance, collaboration with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to produce employment and wage estimates, reporting, and providing technical assistance to staff and external customers. Responsibilities Lead verification of sample design and address refinement for surveys. Coordinate mailing of survey forms and manage data collection. Enter key data and upload electronic data files. Monitor workload and survey response rates. Conduct quality assurance edits and maintain data integrity. Collaborate with BLS on preparing and reviewing employment and wage estimates. Secure and maintain supplies, documents, and mandatory reports. Provide technical assistance to staff and respond to customer inquiries. Adapt to changing technology, priorities, and tasks while accurately managing data. Qualifications Must meet the Minimum Qualifications as stated in the Classification Specification(s). Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, organizational skills, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
