Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Patient ratio typically 1:3 or 1:4. Six weekend shifts per contract required.

Highlights:

• 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit in a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility
• Work with complex cardiac patients including post-PCI and open-heart surgery cases at a Chest Pain Accredited facility
• 91-day assignment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers accepted with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available during contract
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, or telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Skills required: blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from facility
