Material Handler / Inventory Control Associate - 1st Shift

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 5:50 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.
Position Summary
A manufacturing company in the Santa Fe Springs area is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Inventory Control Associate to join its team. This position plays a key role in supporting production by ensuring materials are accurately pulled, tracked, and delivered to the manufacturing floor while maintaining inventory accuracy and quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull materials and products according to manufacturing work orders and verify order accuracy.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by recording and tracking materials throughout the production process.
• Handle products in a laminar flow environment, when required, to ensure cleanliness and product integrity.
• Record traceability information accurately and completely.
• Review work order packets for completeness and report discrepancies to the Planning department.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to complete production and packaging documentation.
• Prioritize tasks based on production schedules to support on-time manufacturing.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and production documents.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and inventory tracking experience are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment while following all safety procedures.
