Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6–7, covering populations that include post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Monitor and manage patients on remote telemetry (no bedside monitors on unit; monitoring performed remotely by monitor technicians)
• Administer drips including Heparin and comfort-measure medications as ordered; no cardiac drips required
• Support and coordinate care for patients on Bipap, CPAP, and High Flow oxygen, all managed in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy
• Adhere to unit infection control protocols, including the ability to be assigned to both designated clean and isolation patient cohorts within the same shift
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling (Saturday/Sunday) and two required Fridays per schedule block, integrating into the permanent staff holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum one year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Comfort with caring for both isolation and non-isolation patient populations concurrently
• Ability to work night shifts, every-other-weekend, and required Friday shifts per schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical and orthopedic patient populations
• Familiarity with palliative, hospice, or end-of-life care settings
• Experience working in units utilizing remote telemetry monitoring
