Lead Preschool Teacher (2025-2026 School Year)
Position Start Date: Summer 2025 (training and preparation)
Join our dynamic team at Small Wonders Preschool and help inspire the next generation of learners in a nurturing, Christian preschool environment. As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a creative, engaging, and loving learning atmosphere for our students. You will have the opportunity to implement age-appropriate lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate closely with parents and colleagues—all while sharing the love of Jesus.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated educator who has a heart for early childhood education. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children during their most formative years.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Create a fun and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and spiritual growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress through informal and formal observations and assessments.
- Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication and updates on their child’s progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a positive, supportive work environment.
- Share Christian values with students and families in line with the mission of the school.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
- DCF (Department of Children and Families) Certification is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with young children and creating a fun, enriching educational experience.
- Ability to foster a loving, Christian environment for children and families.
Additional Information:
- While the official position begins for the 2025-2026 school year, we are seeking to hire a Lead Preschool Teacher in the summer of 2025 for onboarding, training, and classroom preparation.
If you are a creative, dedicated teacher with a passion for early childhood education and a heart for sharing the love of Christ, we would love to hear from you!
