Registered Nurse Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Medical Surgical/Tele RN to join our team for night shifts. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, managing various diagnoses, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and monitor patient care for individuals with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, or cardiac issues such as afib and post-heart cath.
  
  
• 
  Perform special procedures, including step-down care from ICU, with no vents or pressor support, and manage drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, sotolol initiation, and telemetry.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with all required certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TN license.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in EPIC EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Float to other like units as needed, providing consistent, safe care aligned with clinical competencies.
  
  
• 
  Follow hospital policies and protocols, including travel compliance and module completion requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid Tennessee nursing license or applicable state license.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience.
  
  
• 
  Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
  
  
• 
  Proven ability to manage complex cardiac and respiratory patient conditions.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to adapt to variable unit needs and flexible scheduling.
