As part of the team, you will be involved in designing and implementing new capabilities for this platform, and in deployment using CI/CD principles. An ideal candidate will care about productivity and automation. You will be working with software that fundamentally enables the internet to operate at scale.We’re looking for a junior to mid-level experienced software automation engineer who demonstrates:strong collaboration skillsa track record for high quality and impactful delivery demonstrating strong design skills and a passion for code qualitytrue craftsmanship, who enjoys breaking down tough problemspassion for producing quality code and dedicated to best practices such as automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous deploymentthat they are an agent for change, constantly learning and seeking better outcomesskill at interacting and working with people in a positive manner to mitigate key project technical risks and ensure qualityRequirements:Has solid understanding of writing software in a system-level programming language (C, C++, Rust)Proven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design)Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Groovy, GitHub)Experience with or a strong willingness to learn infrastructure automation and platform engineering technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and OpenStackProficient with LinuxPython or similar scripting languageOutstanding problem solving and trouble-shooting skillsExcellent teammate who enjoys a collaborative team environmentRelevant Experience:5+ years of relevant work experience in software development2+ years development in a system-level programming languageWorking on an Agile software development teamBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experienceBonus Skills:Familiarity with DNS at the protocol levelFamiliarity with containerization tools like Docker and KubernetesExposure to behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Python Behave or CucumberThe pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience.
