Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ years of experience and recent Epic EMR experience for a day shift hospital position.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend and holiday work required, including Thanksgiving and Christmas coverage
• No on-call requirements
• Performs basic respiratory treatment therapies including aerosolized medication administration via Oral Inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI
• Provides CPT, incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and arteriocentesis
• Works with adult critical care and pediatric patient populations
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• Floating required unless otherwise specified

Requirements

• Current RRT certification required; CRT not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Active license to practice in Tennessee required at time of submittal (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months required and must be documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam (only one attempt allowed)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, flow-by, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Experience with airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Experience with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy
• Must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required

• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Failure of the Epic competency exam will result in 10 additional unbillable orientation hours added to the contract
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests will be accommodated
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration; additional time off will not be approved afterward
