Patient Care Technician - Telemetry Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

PCT shifts are available in the following schedule:

• Days: 0700-1530
• Evenings: 1500-2330
• Nights: 2300-0730

Weekend requirements include working every other weekend (EOW) on Saturday and Sunday. May be asked to participate in holiday rotation as well.

Job Description

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the telemetry unit will be responsible for direct patient care and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) including blood sugar checks and vital signs monitoring. The unit focuses on cardiac and stroke patients and utilizes telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with ADLs.
• Monitor and record vital signs and blood sugar levels.
• Support nurses and other healthcare staff in delivering quality patient care.
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) via NHA.
• Experience in telemetry required.
