Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) with a patient ratio of 1:2.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-level nursing care to infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients with critical health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist in emergency situations.
• Manage patients on continuous drips, arterial lines, and central lines.
• Provide care for ventilated pediatric patients and handle acute airway management.
• Conduct ICP monitoring and administer moderate sedation as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is required.
• Current BCLS/BLS, PALS, and Basic EKG certifications are mandatory.
• Maryland or compact RN license is required upon submission.
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management, as well as experience with anti-seizure medications and pediatric dosage calculations.
• Comfortable with caring for ventilated patients and managing BiPAP/CPAP.
