Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Devils Lake, ND. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting, helping individuals with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily living and functional skills while exploring a new community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active North Dakota Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required. Inpatient and/or outpatient experience acceptable.
• BLS certification may be required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience with evaluations, care planning, and patient/family education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and identifying barriers to discharge.
• Familiarity with assistive devices, home programs, and adaptive equipment training.

Assignment Details

• Shift Details: 5x8, 40 hours per week.
• Position is for an outpatient clinic in Devils Lake, ND.
• May require participation in ShiftWise Flex vendor pool if candidate is offered and accepts the contract.

Impacting Patient Care

The Occupational Therapist will perform age-appropriate evaluations and treatments that correspond to patient diagnoses and physician orders. The therapist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop patient goals, contribute to care planning, and identify barriers to discharge. The role requires providing patient-centered care and educating patients and families on treatment procedures, assistive devices, home programs, and other relevant topics.
