Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Seeking an assistant coach for the Women’s Basketball program for the 2026-2027 school year at Liberty Common High School in Fort Collins, Colorado – a Poudre School District charter school. LCHS is Northern Colorado's clearest path to college delivering a college-preparatory, classically-oriented, liberal-arts curriculum in a small‑school environment. The school currently enrolls approximately 1600 students in grades K-12, and competes at the 3A level in CHSAA as a member of the Patriot League. The assistant Basketball coach reports directly to the head coach and athletic director and has the primary responsibility for planning, training, and coordination for high‑school student‑athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff. FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Stipend, Exempt EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, Part‑time WORK HOURS: Varies PAY RANGE: $2,424 REPORTS TO: Athletic Director REVISION DATE: September 2026 Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma; associates degree or greater is preferred. Experience working with K-12 students preferred. Job Duties: Working with student‑athletes to develop skills, knowledge, and virtues in Basketball. Communicating with parents, officials, athletes, and coaches. Working with coaching staff to implement training and game plans. Job Requirements: Technically knowledgeable of Basketball and experience working with student‑athletes. Experience scheduling, planning, and coordinating activities for a wide range of constituents. A proven, verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence, good sportsmanship, and character development. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student‑athletes, parents, coaches, and administration. Full background check required for hire. CPR and first aid certified or able to obtain upon hire. Physical Requirements: The ability to move safely in athletic workspaces; The ability to lift 30 pounds or more when needed. Compensation: Starting at $2,424 (possibly higher based on background, experience, and/or institutional alignment). Enrollment in Colorado’s Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and employer contributions to your PERA retirement account.
