Responsibilities

The Clinical Partner (Medical Assistant) will assist Harmony Cares Primary Care Physician, Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Teams in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management in a residential setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports mission, vision and core values
• Supports patient care through clinical partnership
• Coordinates daily travel itinerary and transports clinicians
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment
• Secures patient consent forms, records patient care documentation
• Coordinates patient care as directed by clinicians
• Respects patient confidentiality
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG or other procedures
• Labels, stores and packages specimens for lab delivery
• Assists in identifying and closure of quality gaps
• Updates patient care plans and assessments
• Maintains compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPPAA guidelines
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment
• Ensures company vehicle cleanliness and maintenance
• Attends required meetings and in-services

In this role you may work with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical teams, patients, and patients families.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, related medical education/training program or 1 year of experience serving as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
• Current CPR certification that meets Company guidelines
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic computer literacy, including EMR, iPad, and GPS experience
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Six months of experience in patient care, preferably geriatric care
• Strong Phlebotomy skills
• Desire and ability to obtain MA certification with 180 days of hire

Conditions of this role to be aware of

• Full range body motion including handling/lifting patients
• Ability to drive up to 150 miles daily in urban and/or rural setting
• Ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lb
• Ability to read and understand road maps
• Sit or stand for long periods of time

Posted Min Pay Rate USD $25.00/Hr.

Posted Max Pay Rate USD $25.50/Hr.
