Low Voltage Integration Technician / Apprentice

Job Summary Job Title: Low Voltage Integration Technician / Apprentice Reports to: General Foreman Location: Plain City, OH FLSA Status: Full Time / Non Exempt Through our six business units, we provide electrical construction and maintenance solutions with highly trained professionals. Kastle Technologies Co., LLC ("KTECH"), an EMCOR Company, is a leading low voltage integration services company offering preconstruction, construction, and services across automotive, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mission critical markets. This full‑time, non‑exempt position is located in Plain City, OH. General Duties and Responsibilities Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling. Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment. Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Repair and install network enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc. Assist in keeping building common and technology spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition. Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI. Update as‑built drawings as necessary, according to department policies. Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc. Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification. Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED required. Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry. BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required. Valid Driver’s License. Language Skills Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers and employees. Physical Requirements Regular walking, use of fingers and hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, standing, sitting; lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; proficiency with common hand and power tools; and ability to navigate job sites. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The employee may work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
