About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) at Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for:

• Evaluating and treating guests with diverse medical conditions and disabilities to improve their mobility, strength, and overall functionality

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that address each guest's unique needs and goals

• Providing skilled interventions such as exercises, activities, and education to promote independence and self-care

• Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication

• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatments, and progress

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of guests' physical and cognitive abilities

• Design and implement customized therapy plans to address functional limitations and impairments

• Provide direct patient care, including exercises, activities, and education to promote independence and self-care

• Monitor and track guest progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication

Requirements:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Ohio

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
