Location East Perth, WA Unit/Division Department of Health > Budget Strategy Unit Employment Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 75 hours per fortnight, with possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Position Profile Senior Analyst within the Budget Strategy Unit to support delivery of WA Health’s annual Budget process, working closely with stakeholders across the WA Health System and the Department of Treasury. In the Budget Advice, Coordination and Support team, the Senior Analyst supports critical elements of the annual budget process including development of the annual Budget and Mid‑year Review submissions, development of the annual budget papers for WA Health and collation of key information for the Estimates process. Responsibilities Analyze and review budget submissions and associated cost models. Apply critical thinking and devise fiscally viable solutions. Communicate with budget holders across the health system. Support project and time‑management to deliver work on schedule. Provide narrative presentations supporting funding requests. Consider broader policy and strategic perspectives to ensure alignment with Government and WA Health goals. Qualifications Exceptional analytical ability and attention to detail. Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong project and time management skills. Ability to understand and interpret budgeting and cost modeling. Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
