Mission Systems Software Lead, Maritime

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging industry demands of seabed exploration. Anduril has brought to the market a unique, ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform and a completely refreshed maritime vehicle and flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. Today, Anduril is executing on multi-million-dollar contracts while simultaneously performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Act as a technical leader owning software for Copperhead Draw on both your technical expertise and leadership skills to set objectives, build cross-functional teams, and rapidly drive projects to completion Manage and develop a small team (3-4 employees initially), setting priorities, delegating work effectively, and providing coaching and mentorship to support individual growth and long-term career success Drive the design and implementation of development processes for the initial delivery and subsequent iteration of payloads and mission systems Act as the technical owner for an entire mission system, including stakeholder and customer engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment and evolution Travel up to 15% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world, and collaborate with other teams or end-users

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics Hands-on experience developing software for embedded and physical devices Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization 6+ years of professional C++ or Rust programming experience in a Linux development environment Experience of managing or providing technical leadership to a small team Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance US Salary Range

$220,000 - $292,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
