Shipper/Receiver- Forklift Driver

Experienced Shipper/Receiver Forklift Driver with expertise in warehouse shipping and receiving operations, inventory tracking, and material handling. Skilled in operating forklifts, inspecting incoming goods for damage, preparing and packaging shipments, printing shipping labels, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Proven ability to efficiently distribute products, manage outgoing orders, and support smooth warehouse operations in fast-paced environments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
• Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
• Review completed orders for accuracy prior to shipping
• Photograph and log all completed orders leaving the plant into Visual.
• Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
• Observes all work of subordinates to ascertain that the work conforms to work orders, as generated by Production Schedule.
• Meet daily with the Plant Supervisor to review sales orders, due dates, and production schedule
• Follow and adhere to the production schedule set by the supervisor
• Work with each production division (cutting, sewing, and assembly) to ensure daily production schedule and workflow is maintained.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Prior experience in warehouse/distribution, especially with shipping and receiving operational functions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies with a high sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to multi-task and process orders in a timely manner.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in compliance with the provisions of the OSHA, regulations and internal policies and procedures
• Ensure employees use or wear the Personal Protective Equipment required by Blue Giant
• Reporting any observed hazards to the supervisor
• Reporting any risks or potential risks of violence or harassment encountered in the workplace immediately to supervisor
• Not removing or making ineffective any protective device without providing an adequate temporary substitute. When the work is completed, the original protective device must be replaced immediately
• Not using or operating any equipment, machine, device or thing or otherwise working in a manner that may endanger anyone
• Knowing, understanding, and implementing safe work practices and procedures
• Conduct daily/weekly forklift and other equipment inspections as required.
• Support a safe work environment that is free from any violence or harassment

• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Operate pallet jack and or warehouse equipment
• Valid Lift truck/forklift license.
