Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon – Kings County Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon – Kings County. Join the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) as an orthopedic trauma surgeon at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, a Level 1 Trauma Center serving 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The role focuses on complex orthopedic trauma cases and participates in multidisciplinary trauma meetings and 24/7 on‑call coverage. Responsibilities Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases including pelvic fractures, complex long bone and intra‑articular fractures, complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities. Participate in the emergency call schedule for orthopedic surgery. Participate in ACS trauma multi‑disciplinary activities, including data collection and compliance for a Level I trauma center. Teach orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, and physician assistants. Critically review orthopedic trauma consultations seen in the Emergency Department and inpatient units. Provide outpatient and inpatient surgical and non‑surgical care for complex orthopedic trauma. Act as orthopedic liaison to the multi‑disciplinary trauma committee. Responsible for quality programs required by the hospital and the American College of Surgeons. Departmental administration as required. Qualifications Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship trained, Board Eligible or Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Compensation and Benefits Annual Base Salary: $272,475* (part‑time, 21‑hour work week). Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. Estimated total compensation package: $377,723** (includes baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors). Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week: $78,000. 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately vested; after one year, additional 7% offered. No employee match. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement. Generous annual paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday, CME days).
