Experience Coding for an Academic Teaching Facility
CPC Certification is Required (CCS/RHIA/RHIT can replace this requirement)
Must have experience working on the cutting-edge medical technology (unlisted CPT codes, highly complex coding, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Specialized coding certifications
Insight Global is searching for a contract Pro-Fee Pathology Coder for one of our largest healthcare clients in the Southeast. This facility is a trauma one facility that is heavy on research and the cutting edge. You can expect highly complex and difficult coding within this role, this is not just a simple coding position. This individual will sit remotely and work in EST, but will have flexibility to start anytime between 6am-9am EST. This position will be specifically dedicated to the Pathology work queue. This person needs to be someone that has dealt with complex pathology cases like surgical pathology, bone marrow cases, renal pathology cases, dermapathology, neuropathology, cytology, intraoperative procedures, MUE's, and X modifiers. Daily volume expectations are 150 charts per day, depending on the body of case work that you are working on.
