EMEA Purchasing Specialist (replacement for maternity leave) About the Position: We are looking for an EMEA Purchasing Specialist (replacement maternity leave) to join the Green Technologies Purchasing team, reporting directly to the Regional Purchasing Manager. This position is based at our office in Venaria Reale (Torino area), Italy . As a EMEA Purchasing Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement of materials. You will collaborate closely with the Materials Management team to ensure that the correct quantities of materials are delivered on time. Additionally, you will manage relationships with suppliers, striving to secure the best possible economic conditions in terms of pricing, payment terms, and supply conditions. Your Responsibilities will be: Researching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materials. Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating for the best pricing. Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders. Analyzing market trends to make insightful purchasing decisions. Participating in and supporting the achievement of KPI results. Cooperating with Commodity Buyers within the purchasing organization. Analyzing, auditing, and aligning the supply process. Researching new products, processes, and various elements. Optimizing and managing new providers through make-or-buy analysis. Qualifications you will bring: University degree. Fluency in English; additional languages are preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience in a Purchasing Organization and/or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector (depending on the commodity). Other skills that we would welcome: Strong planning and analytical skills. Dynamic and continuously seeking improvements. High level of accountability, both externally and internally. Good financial understanding. Proficient knowledge of MS Office suites. Strong technical understanding. Additional technical requirements may be needed depending on the component family class to be managed. Availability for frequent travel. Expectations from you in this position: Collaborate with various departments such as Quality, Logistics, R&D, and Sales to implement management-decided strategies. Maintain and manage price lists within the SAP system and Marelli portals. Actively participate in product development and draft supply contracts following successful tenders. Demonstrate proactivity and resourcefulness in handling emergencies. Identify synergies between product development and ongoing projects to ensure cost-effective solutions. Prior knowledge of technical drawing and key metalworking techniques is considered an advantage.
