CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist HiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing industry in Meriden, CT! Salary: $25-$40/hour, based on shift and experience Shift: All Shifts Location: Meriden, CT Job Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes Machine complex aerospace-grade and precision components to tight tolerances Interpret advanced blueprints and GD&T callouts to ensure accurate production Adjust tooling, offsets, and machining parameters to maintain part quality and precision Perform in-process inspections and final quality validation using precision measurement tools Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency and consistency Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements Maintain a strong focus on minimizing scrap, rework, and production downtime Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required Technical training or machining certification preferred Additional CNC machining coursework or apprenticeship experience is a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment Strong hands-on experience with multi-axis machining Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Experience working with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, and/or Mitsubishi Strong inspection skills using precision measuring instruments Detail-driven mindset with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team Willingness to work any shift as needed
