Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description Job Description Duration: 1 Year Job Summary Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements for CCA and cable assembly builds. Responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Experience with MK48 programs is a plus. Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to implement process improvements. Key Responsibilities Analyze and optimize CCA and module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Identify and implement process improvements in the MK48 assembly area using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, training materials, and design specifications for fixtures and stencils. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless implementation of process changes. Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing and process documentation. Conduct experiments and trials to validate process improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems. Provide technical support and guidance to production staff. Train and mentor production personnel as needed. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for further improvement. Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities as needed. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and quality control methods. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to walk up and down stairs and stand for extended periods to access and troubleshoot equipment on the production floor. Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch to perform equipment maintenance and repairs. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Desired Skills Electronics or manufacturing assembly experience. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field. Experience with the MK48 program. Experience with data analytics and statistical process control. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, including IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and MIL-STD-130. Experience with automation, robotics, and AI.
