Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing professional services organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and supporting both accounting and operational teams. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential financial information.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities
- Record and categorize financial transactions including AP, AR, and expenses
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- The Bookkeeper will issue customer invoices and track outstanding receivables
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and post journal entries as needed
- Assist with month-end close activities, accruals, and expense tracking
- The Bookkeeper will prepare preliminary financial reports and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Manage vendor setup, payment schedules, and collections follow-up
- Apply payments and resolve billing discrepancies
- Track commissions, carrier payments, and agency bill reconciliations
- The Bookkeeper will support accounting coordination with internal teams
- Maintain accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial tracking tools
- Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation requests
Qualifications of the Bookkeeper Role
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end support
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software preferred
- Ability to manage multiple accounts/entities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working with confidential financial information
