Job Description: Food Service (Snack Bar) Lead Position Summary The primary responsibilities of the Food Service (Snack Bar) Lead position are to assist with maintaining outstanding customer service within the area, food safety, food preparation, cleanliness, organization, product ordering, inventory control, training and development of associates to assist in this process, merchandise product, and support the store management team to build sales in this area and control expenses.

Major Responsibilities The major responsibilities for this position include:

• Assist in the training and development of associates/cashiers to meet or exceed the basic fundamental requirements of the job within the snack bar (must have employee food handler certification or manager certification) in order to work within this area.
• Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service which follows the Ace way of retailing (engaging with each customer you are involved with).
• Greet every customer in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Fulfill customer requests. Provide assistance and information on products.
• Record sold items on the daily tally sheet (ice cream, fudge & nuts).
• Execute changes as it relates to merchandising the product in the area - "provide input" on monthly or seasonal favorites.
• Maintain awareness of any promotions and advertisements within the area.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and assist with health department compliance.
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and organized, stocked and rotated.
• Control inventory levels.
• Produce/maintain inventory par levels on fudge/nuts production. Record "in use" dates once products are moved into selling area.
• Inform management of fudge made, nuts roasted so we can record usage. Include breakage of cones.
• Order inventory to meet the "build to" levels (Blue Bell, Calico, Coca-Cola, Ecolab, Nutty Bavarian / Misc Goods and Sysco). These all have lead times that must be factored in before orders are placed to minimize out of stocks.

Minimum Requirements The minimum requirements for this position include:

• Adaptability, driven, accountability - OWN IT! Engaging, integrity - "do the right thing, even when no one is looking".
• Education/training: high school degree or G.E.D. equivalent. Possess a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn.
• Experience: previous experience in a restaurant industry or baking.
• Skills/knowledge: knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
• Ability to communicate with associates and customers.
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

Physical Requirements The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures occasionally throughout the store, which entails lifting, climbing ladders and performs all functions as set forth by management.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 80lbs. with or without assistance.
