Registered Nurse (RN) - OR

Operating Room Nurse – Surgical Services

Schedule: Days, 8 hours, 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Requirements:

• 2+ years of current operating room experience
• Float experience in vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
• Travel experience
• Experience with EMR systems
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Scrub and circulate experience
• Must have own vehicle

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the operating room setting, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care.
• Maintain a sterile and safe environment during surgical procedures.
• Educate patients and families on pre and post-operative care.
• Monitor and communicate the physical and emotional well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.

Compliance / Notes:

• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate is required.
• Completion of a training program in verbal de-escalation is required.
• 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Requested time off must be noted at the time of submission. RTO requests after submission will not be approved.
• Orientation requirement: 8 hours (non-billable).
• Must comply with lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs.
