Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Full time with call

Education Two (2) Years of College or Graduate of an accredited Imaging program or graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post‑secondary educational program in a health science (includes but not limited to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic/EMT). Experience / Qualifications Current State of Florida license if applicable. Current ARRT or RCIS or obtain within 18 months. American Heart Association BLS, for Health Care Provider. 2 years’ clinical training or 1‑year procedural experience (IR/ Cath lab/ Scrub experience) preferred. Minimum 1 year Neuro‑Interventional experience required. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. Must be able to take call. Position Summary The neuro‑interventional technologist will assist in routine diagnostic, highly complex invasive neuro, and peripheral interventions. The technologist will be involved in performing many neuro‑interventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coils, arteriovenous malformations, and stroke interventions. Responsibilities The neuro‑interventional technologist is required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology, and nephrology. The neuro‑interventional technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. The neuro‑interventional technologist demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality imaging for interpretation. Will be responsible for ordering and stocking of supplies utilized in Special Procedures and the Biplane. Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique. Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work. The neuro‑interventional technologist must be able to take call. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self‑motivated. Threshold Requirements These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis. Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in‑service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation. TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
