Phlebotomy Technician

Pay Range: $19.85hr - $21.80hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
• Ability to travel and support multiple locations with minimal notice.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-volume environments.
• Keyboard and data entry experience required.

Experience:

• Experience performing pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections.
• Minimum two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Experience in retail, healthcare, or customer service environments preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred and required in applicable states.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality blood specimen collections in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Maintain specimen integrity during collection, processing, and transportation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional patient interactions.
• Support multiple Patient Service Center and In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed.
• Follow company policies, procedures, safety standards, and dress code requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and perform data entry activities.
• Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting.
• Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors.
• Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in changing work environments.
• Participate in required training and compliance activities.
