Role Description This part-time, on-site Physical Therapist Assistant role is located in Overland Park, KS. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities aligned with patient goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with patient evaluations by gathering clinical information, monitoring patient responses to treatment, documenting progress and outcomes, and updating the supervising therapist on any changes. The role involves preparing treatment areas, educating patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention, supporting orthopedic and sports rehabilitation programs, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. The Physical Therapist Assistant will collaborate with the care team to promote quality patient care, efficient scheduling, and a positive patient experience. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy interventions and Rehabilitation techniques, working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Ability to deliver attentive Patient Care and support Quality Patient Care through accurate monitoring, documentation, and communication. Experience or strong interest in Orthopedics and sports-related rehabilitation, including post-surgical and injury recovery programs. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and current, valid PTA license (or eligibility) in the state of Kansas. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Capacity to perform physical job duties such as assisting with transfers, positioning, and exercise instruction in a clinical setting. Organizational skills to manage part-time schedules, prioritize patient needs, and maintain accurate clinical records. CPR/Basic Life Support certification and familiarity with standard clinical safety and infection control practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
