Job Description: Respiratory Therapist Overview: A Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a healthcare professional trained in diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory issues. Respiratory Therapists are skilled in using equipment like ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other devices to assist patients with breathing difficulties. Common Duties and Responsibilities: Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary issues by reviewing their medical history, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood gases, chest X-rays, and pulmonary function tests.
