As a Security Officer in Manassas, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $37.31 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry points, credentials, and/or visitor activity while following post orders and reporting security‑related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations. Support a professional presence by maintaining awareness of the surroundings, handling routine questions, and completing required reports related to daily activities and/or incidents. Minimum Requirements: Possess an active DoD TS‑SCI clearance. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
