Senior Vice President, IWM Portfolio Manager

Investment Manager

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Independently manage a significant amount of assets within investment policy guidelines, including medium to large and complex accounts/funds.
• Implement investment strategies aligned with client financial goals and risk tolerance, adhering to investment policies, philosophies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with research, strategy, and portfolio team members to optimize investment decisions.
• Meet with clients and new business prospects to communicate investment strategies, discuss market performance, and review current market conditions.
• Serve on the investment committee, contributing to the development and refinement of policies and strategies to enhance business performance.
• Evaluate investment performance regularly and make timely portfolio adjustments to meet investment objectives and allocation guidelines.
• Gather stakeholder input and leverage data to support business tracking of key performance indicators and informed decision-making.
• Build and maintain processes that enable executive leadership to make informed decisions impacting the portfolio.
• Provide guidance to less experienced Portfolio Managers and may manage a small junior team.
• Contribute to team and firm profitability by supporting client retention and expansion through superior investment performance and client service.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
• 7-10 years of total work experience preferred, with 7 or more years of investment experience preferred for candidates holding MBAs or CFAs.
• Applicable local or regional licenses and certifications as required by the business.
• Bi-lingual capabilities and understanding of local/cultural nuances are helpful to build client trust.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $120,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
