Purchasing Agent

Summary/Objective

Negotiates vendor terms, prices and schedules delivery using knowledge of budget and schedule requirements.

Essential Functions

1. Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures.

1. Uses knowledge of material work planning and methods to coordinate product deliveries. Approximately 10 vendors.

1. Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, monitoring and expediting orders.

1. Resolves shipments in error with suppliers.

1. Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price from ERP system or approval from managers for expense items.

1. Maintain office supplies and breakroom supplies.

1. Monitors service of office cleaning supplier.
2. Daily mail processing and bank deposit.
