Job Description
Title
Critical Care Float Pool RN

Schedule
Shift: 3x12s, Night 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
Weekend Expectation: weekend nights Friday/Saturday and a day shift (minimum every other weekend)

Assignment Details
Float to multiple ICUs based on staffing and acuity

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Travel experience required
- Must have valid compact or state RN license
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 from a manager/director

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in various intensive care units.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care using electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- RTO required with submission and must be built into contract
