Job Summary
Pharmacist Inpatient (Specialty: PHARM IP) This position is located in a healthcare facility and involves managing inpatient pharmacy services. The role includes compounding medications, verifying physician orders, monitoring patient drug therapy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is an exempt position that supports safe medication practices within the hospital setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with occasional weekends. Shift time is from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy; current California Pharmacist License; preferred 1-2 years of experience; must have Epic and Pyxis experience; ability to interface professionally with hospital staff and public; demonstrates emotional maturity, integrity, self-awareness, tact, good judgment, and self-motivation; detail-oriented; respects confidentiality.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in hospital pharmacy practice preferred.
• Additional Information: Performs daily documentation of drug protocols including TPN, pharmacokinetics, and Heparin; maintains computerized patient record system; manages controlled substances; intervenes in drug regimen management; provides clinical drug information; reviews inventory levels; supervises support personnel in routine duties; performs other assigned duties and innovations.
